Camouflage Shoestring

This little guy was on our back porch and I watched crawl onto my husband’s Keens. I took this thru a glass sliding door. We think it’s a juvenile red rat snake. I guess we should always check our shoes before putting them on…never know what might be on or in them. 🙂

My settings were ISO 1600, f/11, 1/160 sec, at 90mm (70-200mm).

Week 16

Two Blacks in Black and White

Was trimming some palm trees and ran across these two Black Snakes all curled up into each other in the top branches. It was interesting to watch them gracefully untangle. One of the good type of snakes to have in your yard.

My settings were ISO 1000, f/6.3, 1/400 sec. at 260mm (70mm – 300mm). I converted it to B/W and applied a low strength of Topaz Adjust 5’s Photo Pop filter.

Shedding some skin!!!!

My son found the snake skin in our garden.  It is amazing you can still see such detail where the eye, mouth and scales were.  Nature and all living creatures are amazing.  Shot with DSLR Nikon300s and 105mm.  Boost contrast and cropped along with some sharpening.  Settings were ISO400, f3.5, 1/40sec, Aperture Priority and handheld.

Happy Clicking!!!
