Week 10 – Judy

Week 10

Thank You for Your Service!

I volunteered at and attended the Photoshop World Conference in Orlando last week. There were several live shoot set-ups available for photographing during the conference. I liked this one the best because this gentleman is actually a war veteran and not a model. The conference was an educational and fun experience!

My settings were f/6.3, ISO 5000, 1/125 sec, at 76mm (18-135mm) using evaluative metering. Cloned out a modern day watch he had on and reduced some noise using PS Elements 12. Applied Topaz B&W Effect’s Opalotype Collection Milk Memories Filter. Then added Burnt Black 1 Border using the same Topaz plug-in.

He looks like he’s seen a lot of history. Bet he has some good stories! Nice that they let the vets pose for the conference. I love the shot and relaxed pose! Your choice of editing is perfect!
